School News
If you think it's been busy so far, just wait until you've seen the end of this year.
Starting this month, we begin the end of the year and many families start celebrating a variety holidays. In the next few months, we even face the end of the first semester. So now, more than ever, you need to plan your school work so that too much work doesn't pile up at the same time. You already have most of the tools you need in your backpack and at school for good time management.
Tool #1 - Your Cahier De Texte and a pen. You should always keep an acurate and neat record of your upcoming homework, projects, and tests in your cahier de texte. Write down anything you need to remember, so that you can plan.
Tool #2 - The Class calendar and Cahier de Texte. In every classroom there should be a calendar which tells you about upcoming tests, quizzes, reports and projects. Make sure your cahier matches the events listed in the class cahier and on the calendar.
Tool #3 - A calendar at home. Keep track of dates and try to spread out your work as much as possible. As they say, "Don't wait until tomorrow to do what you can do today." If you know you will be busy with family activities or extra-curricular activities at a particular time, finish as much of your work as you can ahead of schedule so that you can have that special time free. As soon as your work is finished, your mind will be at ease to enjoy the wonderful activities of the season.
Tool #4 - The Le Lycee Staff. If you need help with your time management and are feeling overwhelmed, talk to your subject teacher, either of your homeroom teachers, or your vice-principal. Seek advice and get some help early. Don't let the situation "get away from you".
Tool #5 - Balance. Give yourself time for rest and relaxation. Eat nutritionally. Get plenty of sleep. Set aside time each week for some fun. (You'll be amazed at how much better you'll work if you do!)
